Recently, 👧🏻 Ms 4 and I went for @mtlsymposium

organised by @moesingapore @cpcll @mllpc.sg @tllpc

at @sunteccity Convention & Exhibition Centre

with our family friends @forthekidsg and @miraculovemoments and their families! 👩🏻👩🏻

So grateful that @moesingapore @cpcll @mllpc.sg @tllpc gathered so many community partners, schools and experts

to share and showcase current best practices for learning Tamil, Malay and Chinese languages in 🇸🇬

👧🏻 Ms 4 and I had fun exploring:

✨finger tracing on colored sand

✨food puzzle + play food

✨traditional instruments

✨colored shapes with velcro @bilingualismsg

✨matching everyday item words to picture cards

✨pretend play supermarket

✨traditional game pallanguzhi

✨traditional Rangoli art

✨Malay weaving activity

✨building words using letter magnets

✨SLS video on hanyu pinyin rules by @moesingapore CPPD

Our highlight of the day was to attend the Sharing Session -

✨Unlocking Bilingual Confidence: The Top 5 Insights on Raising Confident Bilingual Readers and Writers ✨

by @dimsumwarriors @wooyenyen @joseflee.stories

that was so insightful!

Thank you @wooyenyen for featuring our book collection in your slides 💛

Always excited to share book recommendations to help more kids enjoy reading!

妹妹 brought along one of her favourites 📕 《庆祝好累人!》 and was so excited to see its creators up close!

As a bilingual parent, it warms my heart to hear so many people speaking in and being proud of their mother tongue languages at the event! We’re truly not alone 🥹

Feeling motivated and brimming with ideas now,

to help my kids love our Chinese language and culture more 💪🏻

Special mention for

@forthekidsg who shared about

✨newscaster experience

✨nature crafts by @mandaiwildlifereserve

and @miraculovemoments and M

✨for the whiteboard message at the end!

Can’t wait for the next MTLS in 2026!

We’d totally go again and

highly encourage educators and families with kids of ages 2-9 to go too!

Comment 💛 if you’d like us to

share more learning journey ideas in 🇸🇬

to learn Chinese in a fun way!
