OPEN INVITATION FOR SING SEPTEMBER PROJECT

OPEN INVITATION FOR SING SEPTEMBER PROJECT

#funplaywithchinese

Come and join us as we enjoy music with our families and sing to our hearts’ content!

Sing September is back 🥳

Last year, we had a super memorable time learning Mandarin through songs.

This month, our #SGprimaryschoolchinese x #funplaywithchinese team is here to infuse more music into our days!

Let's go with the flow,

keep it free and easy!

Here are some prompts if you need some ideas:

⭐️ nursery rhymes 三轮车,一只哈巴狗,蝴蝶,丑小鸭

⭐️ Mandopop songs 萤火虫,快乐天堂

⭐️ oldies 月亮代表我的心,路边一棵榕树下

⭐️ traditional folk songs 茉莉花,虹彩妹妹

⭐️ own original songs

and more!

It can be through

⭐️ learning to sing a new song together

⭐️ listening on Spotify / old CDs / radio

⭐️ singing Karaoke - 全民Party App etc

⭐️ recording songs

⭐️ watching a music video

⭐️ displaying the lyrics somewhere visible

⭐️ copying out the lyrics

⭐️ playing simple word recognition activities with lyrics

⭐️ playing musical games eg tapping to the beat, rhythm

⭐️ playing musical instruments

⭐️ creating music through apps like GarageBand or Drumbeats/Drumbit

⭐️ singing rounds / canons - 两只老虎,划小船

or anything at all! The sky is the limit.

For the rest of September, I’m excited to share with you some songs that I’ve been singing with my 20month old, 6 and 8 year olds!

Head over to see how we support our primary school aged children in learning Chinese
