In family life, love is the oil that eases friction, the cement that binds closer together, and the music that brings harmony.
- Eva Burrows
As I raise my 3 kids, I realise the importance of nurturing strong family ties from day 1. We all have good days and bad as a family, we quarrel and we make up. We've seen each other at our worst and also at our best. It is my hope that they will trust each other and have each other's backs, even when we're no longer around anymore.
Here are some reads we've curated over the years, about kinship and families.
Good books to nurture close bonds in our family, to model loving relationships, to offer empathy for common family struggles, to give us a picture of what sacrificial love can look like on a daily basis.
Books to remind us to say "I love you" more often and show care, while our loved ones are still alive.
May these reads find their place in your heart, and their lessons be remembered by your kids long after the pages of the books are closed.
Sending love from my family to yours!
