Dragon Boat Festival is celebrated annually on the 5th day of the 5th lunar month, to honour Qu Yuan, a third-century patriotric poet from China. In Singapore, it has become synonymous with rice dumplings (eating, wrapping, gifting!) and dragonboat racing (and watching!).
