Useful both as an introduction to color blending and as a story of friendship and acceptance, this unique storybook is as refreshing today as when it was first published in 1959. Encourage students to tell their own color stories using scraps of paper or paint.

It is a good book to use to teach children about colour mixing, but the ending where everyone turns green seems a little abrupt and out of nowhere. Still fun though!
Some parts still leave me a bit confused too, with colors that have human characteristics... but like you said, still fun! Definitely something that stretches our imagination!
It's a nice touch to have children seeing characters not as human beings or animals, but colours. Yet, the storyline was able to bring out the friendship between two colours and their bonds with their parents. Very heartening and brought out the emotions from a child's perspective. Highly recommended!
Love this book :)
