Sometimes we are just having a grumpy day,
nothing seems to go our way
little things annoy us
and we have trouble controlling our words and anger.

Such behaviours tend to trigger us parents,
but it's helpful to know that we have some days like that too.

This story illustrates a mama who responds with love and patience
holding space
and sharing her calm.

I particularly love the message that
a bad day is not forever,
a better day is round the corner!

100% relatable to kids and parents alike

Wow every page was so relatable to my 3yo, and to me as well. She has had days when she behaved like the girl in the story, and the mother's expression/reaction in the book is exactly what I would do as well. Comforting to know toddler-hood and parenthood are universal. We liked how the story had a happy ending! And the hope that tomorrow will be a better day!

Super relatable

Such a relatable story for young kids. This was a good conversation starter for me to address my own kid's tantrums / big feelings.
