开车出发系列 Setting Off On A Tram Series 3 (Set of 4)

Out of the three series, I would say that this series unfortunately is my least favourite (still a five star, but I personally found Series 1 simpler and more engaging because of how relatable it was). This series felt a little disjointed, especially the 坐新干线 book which was not only larger, but the format was also significantly different to feel like it was not part of the series we have come to expect and love. The language was also notably more difficult, so it could deter a young reader who had loved Series 1 and 2.

Having said that, the remaining titles are really good; whimsical and imaginative. 房子电车开车了 involves the whole family cast as characters in the book, and inspires children to play pretend. I also found 不可思议的画家's plot to have left a deep impression on me - very creative and I loved the illustrations here too.

The illustrations will absolutely take your breath away! I felt transported myself riding on this vehicle of excellent story-telling! Whimsy tales, capturing the magic of imagination
